The marriage of Figaro

From the directing concept:
“The challenge in staging the comic opera was to place its story in the real context of the historical hall in which the opera was performed. The plot of the opera has four acts and is set in a castle room, the countess's room, the ballroom and the castle garden. The historical hall thus became the stage set and the members of the audience were assigned the role of the active co-creators in the performance. The so-called fourth wall, separating the singers and the audience, was blurred, which opened up new and different possibilities for the staging of the opera.”
